inMy way to handle a tricky fringe trim
Oh man, cowlicks are the worst. I had a client last week with the same thing, a real stubborn one right at the front. What ended up working was actually cutting the bangs a tiny bit shorter than I normally would on dry hair, because that cowlick would always push it up and make it look shorter anyway. Then I went in with my thinning shears not just on the ends, but I took a few careful notches right at the root of the cowlick to take out some of that pushy weight. You have to be super light with it, but it lets the hair sit flatter. After that, a round brush and a blow dryer to train it in the direction we wanted did the trick.
