So your old stove boiled water faster and now we're supposed to think new gear is a scam? A single burner vs a dual burner isn't really a fair fight either. One burner puts all the heat in one spot, the other splits the gas between two. Half the time could just be a dirty jet or a cheap regulator on the new one, not some big truth about old stuff being better. My dad's old lantern still lights up fine but that doesn't mean every new thing is junk. Sometimes a $200 stove is just a bad $200 stove, not proof that everything made now is worse.
