Hot take: a 30 minute stretch job in Fresno cut my stretch wrinkle callbacks to zero
I used to rush the stretch on every job. Power stretch, kick it in, trim it, roll up and get to the next one. Then I looked at my callback list from the first half of last year and it was ugly. 9 of 14 trips back were for stretch wrinkles, mostly in three bedrooms in Clovis and one long hall in Fresno. So in March I started adding about 30 minutes per job: I lay the carpet out flat for a bit first, tack the short walls, and stretch in shorter grabs instead of one big pull across the room. Last week I went back and counted and I had zero stretch callbacks in six months of work. My knees hate the extra time but my phone is quieter. I'm curious how you all handle long halls, do you break it into two stretches or run one long power stretch and hope?
