Our small town library in Bend got a grant to try an AI tool that helps sort and tag old local photos. I volunteered to help and figured it would just make a mess. But after feeding it about 200 scanned pictures from the 1980s, it correctly identified landmarks and even grouped photos from the same annual parade. It wasn't perfect, but it saved us weeks of manual work. I learned that practical AI tools are popping up in the most normal places now, not just labs. Has anyone else seen a local group use AI in a surprisingly simple way?
