inHonestly, I used to think boxed cake mix was a total cheat, but a disaster last Tuesday changed my mind.
My sister's birthday cake last year was a total brick because I forgot the baking powder. I tried to make a red velvet from scratch and it was so dense you could have used it as a doorstop. I grabbed a box of devil's food mix from the pantry as a last minute fix, and honestly, it saved the whole party. Sometimes you just need the thing that works every single time.

Been there! A copper spoon is the right move for sure. Sometimes I'll also put a little extra pressure on the gun to help it bite without blowing out.

Honestly, I wonder if some of this is about reclaiming time. Less stuff in the cart means less to put away and manage later. That mental space feels just as good as the saved money.

inHad to pick between a razor cut or shears for a thick, curly bob
My friend Lisa had that exact problem last month. She tried to use clippers on the back and scissors on top of her husband's super thick hair. The whole thing looked like two different haircuts from the side. What finally worked was her hairdresser telling her to use the scissors to point cut into the clipper line, like little tiny nips, instead of trying to make one clean cut across. It took forever but it blended that hard line right out.
