Looking back at my old gym membership makes me cringe
I signed up for a fancy gym downtown about two years ago, paying $85 a month. I told myself I'd go after work, but between the commute and just being tired, I maybe went eight times total. I kept paying for a full year because I felt bad about quitting, so that was over a thousand dollars gone. I finally canceled when I moved, and now I just run outside and use a set of free weights I got for $30. It feels so much better, and I'm actually more consistent. Has anyone else wasted a ton on a subscription they barely used? What did you switch to?

My old gym membership was basically a monthly fee for feeling guilty. I switched to a cheap pull-up bar in my garage door frame, which works great until I forget and almost walk into it. At least it was a one-time purchase that bruises my head, not my bank account.

That "bruises my head" part is too real. My buddy did the exact same thing with his doorway pull-up bar, but he actually knocked himself out cold. Woke up on the floor of his apartment hallway with no idea how he got there. He had a lump for a week and his roommate had to hide the bar from him. Now he just uses the monkey bars at the park like a little kid.
