inChanged my mind on using paste wax for tabletops after a bad $400 repair job
Oh man, that's brutal! I've totally been there with paste wax on stuff that actually gets used. It's one of those things where it works amazing in theory but real life just destroys it. Makes me think about how we all have this habit of picking the quick, pretty fix over the boring one that actually lasts, you know? Like in my own life I notice I'll grab the fast solution for something around the house and then kick myself later when it falls apart. Paste wax is basically the furniture version of that whole pattern.

inMy grandma told me to always save the water from boiling potatoes. I thought it was just an old habit, but I've been using it to make soup bases for a year now.
Liquid Gold" feels like a stretch to me honestly.

inTook me almost a year to finally get my resume past the automated systems
Wasted two years on the same problem. My old resume was basically invisible to the software. Now I just copy the exact phrases from the job description into a white font at the bottom of the page.

inBought a $15 silicone air fryer basket and it's a total game changer
Fifteen dollars for a silicone basket seems steep. My local discount store had a two-pack for five bucks last month.

inHad to pick between a $40 chain tool and a $15 multi-tool with a built-in one for my gravel bike. Went cheap and snapped the pin.
Ugh, this is the story of my life. You try to save a few bucks up front, then end up paying double to fix the mess. It's why my garage is full of half-broken tools.
