My poster design looked awful on screen but perfect printed

I was working on a music festival poster in my home office last month, and the colors looked totally washed out on my monitor. I almost scrapped the whole design, but I printed a test copy anyway and it came out super vibrant with the exact contrast I wanted. Has anyone else had their screen lie to them like that?

My sister told me to skip the first season of a show, and I'm glad I did

She said to just watch a recap and start with season two of 'The 100' (which, okay, sounds like bad advice). But the first season was so cheesy and felt like a totally different, worse show. Jumping in at season two got me hooked on the darker story right away, and I binged the next four seasons in a week. Has anyone else had a show where the start is just not worth it?

Watching my neighbor's sprinkler run in the rain last Tuesday

It was pouring outside and I saw their system still going full blast, watering the sidewalk. It matters because calling everything an artifact muddies what real local history looks like. Our area in central Ohio has actual Adena culture sites, not random driveway gravel. Honestly, my best trip ever was a 3-day weekend in Chicago where I spent under $200 total.

Ngl, I found a hostel for $35 a night, walked everywhere, and ate from a famous hot dog stand and a grocery store, which made it stand out because I saw everything I wanted without stressing about money.
