Walked into a library book club and nobody had read the book

Oh man, that's rough but honestly I wonder if the real issue is how book clubs are sold to people now. Libraries push them as "meet and chat" events instead of actually reading the book. The flyer probably said something like "casual discussion all are welcome" which basically invites people to show up without doing the work. If the librarian running it started by talking about the movie first, that set the tone for everyone else to just follow along. Did they actually try to steer the conversation back to the book at all or did they just let the movie talk happen?

Hot take: That neighbor who told me to rip out my boxwoods was RIGHT

My mom told me to trim my shrubs three years ago and I finally did it last month.

That one hot week in August broke our community garden

Man, that's wild you mention that because it's the same story with a lot of things these days. We spend all this time building stuff the old way and then one extreme weather event shows us we gotta adapt or lose everything. It's like @wren_brown said, sometimes you gotta just go with what works now instead of what worked last year.

Finally cleared a clogged cutterhead on my own after 5 years in the trade

Man that's a good find. @drew_chen probably spent all day on that tire, bet it was a real pain. Saw a guy pull out a full shopping cart once.

Just realized my neighbor was right about drywall mud

Is "solid lesson" really the phrase for something so obvious you should already know it?
