A client told me my drawer pulls looked like 'sad robot eyebrows' and I can't unsee it now

Oh man, totally. I used to get so annoyed by nitpicky feedback like that, felt like people were missing the big picture. But then I saw how one tiny, weird note from a friend completely fixed a project I was stuck on. You're right, @elizabethhunt, fresh eyes just see stuff you're blind to after staring at it for too long. It really changed how I ask for help now.

Just counted my egg cartons from this month and the number blew my mind

You saying you built the coop yourself made me remember my first one. I used old pallets and some chicken wire, and it looked like a strong wind would knock it over. My birds were not impressed and kept trying to roost on the fence post instead. It was a real lesson in chicken opinions.

Just realized my $40 magnetic stud finder was a total waste of cash

Yeah, those electronic ones are junk in old houses. The plaster and lath just messes with the sensors. I've had way better luck with a simple magnet.

I thought the envelope system was silly until I tried it last month.

That's such a good idea. I swear, physically separating things makes them feel more Real and important, like cash in an envelope for groceries just hits different.

Had a vintage Nikon shutter spring snap right in my hands yesterday. Took me four hours to find a donor part from a 1978 model.

That's the kind of luck I have with old gear. Spent a whole weekend fixing a lens only to drop the screwdriver and scratch the front element. Classic move right there.
