Switched from tap to filtered water for my morning brew
I live in an area with pretty hard water, and my coffee always tasted a bit flat. Last month, I started using a basic Brita filter pitcher for the water in my French press. The difference was clear after just three days. My coffee went from tasting sort of dull to having a much cleaner, brighter flavor. Has anyone else noticed a big change just from switching their water source?

Guess you finally proved water is the main ingredient in coffee. My tap water tastes like a rusty penny, so I'm not surprised your brew improved. Might have to try that before I blame my beans next time.

My city's water is super hard too, and @keith943 is right, it makes a huge difference. I started using filtered water last year and my coffee got way better.
