PSA: Took me 4 hours to fix a bad ground loop in an apartment complex

Man, that's brutal. A drywall screw grounding block is just asking for noise issues down the line. Pro tip I've learned the hard way: always use a proper bonding block with a solid copper wire to the building's ground rod or cold water pipe. Also check the ground continuity with a multimeter before you button everything up. Saves you from chasing ghosts later. The worst I saw was a guy using a coaxial cable as a ground strap. Huge no-no, lol.

Old school vs new ways: slope cutting in a bucket or pre-mixing on shore?

Man, you're speaking my language right now. I made the exact same switch about a year ago and the consistency gains on the shore mix are just undeniable, especially when you're dealing with variable material which is my usual headache. The old bucket method has its fans but give me that pre-mixed control any day, I'll take a bit more prep over rework every time.

Old school teasing comb I dug out of my grandma's kit saved my ass today

Are you sure it's not just the nostalgia making you think it works better than modern stuff?

That shift at Detroit Metro last Tuesday nearly broke me

My buddy Mike got three 737s with the same leak six hours apart.

Found out my espresso machine was yelling at me for 6 months

Backflush first? Nah man, I think that scale hiding cracks is more of a thing with older machines or really hard water. I pulled the gasket out and saw the crack clear as day with my own eyes, no scale involved. Replaced it and the bitterness stopped immediately, so the crack was definitely the problem. Sometimes it's just a simple mechanical fault, not a hidden scale monster lol.
