inShoutout to the guy who proved chemtrails aren't real using just a coffee filter and rainwater
Honestly, not everyone has a coffee filter just lying around or wants to go through that hassle.

inTook me 3 hours to find a safe water source on the John Muir Trail last summer
Man that sounds rough. I swear this water thing is like a lesson we keep learning over and over in life. You spend all this time planning the big stuff like food and gear but the simple stuff like where the water actually is can mess you up. It reminds me of how people obsess over the right coffee maker or fancy app for their morning routine but they don't realize their local tap water tastes like metal and ruins everything. Or how you can plan a perfect road trip with maps and playlists but forget to check if the gas station restrooms even have running water. The little details always sneak up on you when you least expect it.

inRan into an older lady at Target who changed how I track moods
I gotta say, I read an article about how older folks have this way of simplifying things that we overthink. It was talking about how they use something as simple as a calendar with smiley or frowny faces instead of all these complicated apps. That stuck with me because we try to make everything so technical nowadays. I bet this lady had a similar down to earth method like a journal or a sticky note system. Sometimes the old ways are the best ways because they don't get in your head too much.

inShoutout to the guy who told me to preheat my iron before soldering
yeah but if you wait 2 minutes you're just wasting time. I've done cap swaps on old HP motherboards where the iron was hot in 30 seconds and the solder flowed fine. preheating's for people who don't know how to move fast. plus if you leave it sitting that long on a tip that's not fresh you're baking gunk onto it. had a buddy who let his iron sit ten minutes once and the tip turned black. I'll take the cold joints over a ruined tip any day.

inUsed to think power stretchers were overrated for small rooms, now I get it
Man that ripple by the door is basically the carpet yelling for help.
