Yeah, I gotta disagree here. That tarp probably didn't turn into a spider hotel on its own. Spiders were already there before you showed up. You basically set up camp right in their living room and then blamed the tarp. Also, most cheap tarps come out of the package completely clean. If it sat in your garage or trunk for a few months before you used it, that's on you for not checking it first. A quick shakeout before you set it up would have solved the whole thing.
