inI panicked when a client's lash lift went sideways on me last Tuesday
Gotta disagree on the argan oil thing. I've seen that backfire big time - oil can make the lift drop out completely and you're left with lashes that look even worse than before. The brow gel trick might hide it for a minute but those crimped lashes are gonna pop right back once it dries. In my experience the only real fix is to play it off with a really strong eyelash curler on the good side to match the wonky one, then hit both with a waterproof mascara. It's not gonna fix the damage but it'll at least make the client leave your chair without crying.

inHit 500 pieces of Roman pottery from one field in Somerset last week
Oh wow, that's a solid haul from one field! I mean, it makes you wonder if that spot was actually a pottery dump or something back in the day, not just random scatter. Maybe the Romans had a little repair station or kiln waste pile there that's been mixing into the plow zone for centuries. Could be worth checking if there's any wasters or kiln furniture mixed in with those shards, that'd tell you a lot.

inCracked open a 20 year old CRT TV yesterday and saw the cleanest solder joints I've ever seen...
cleanest solder joints I've ever seen" is probably the most beautiful thing anyone could say about a 20 year old CRT. I mean, that's like finding a perfectly preserved VCR with the original remote still in the plastic bag. Who knew a relic from the early 2000s could still look factory fresh inside? Maybe it's just me but I bet that thing was built by someone who actually cared about their job, not like the rushed garbage we get now.

inI finally got yelled at by an old timer at a garage sale over my cast iron cleanup method
Brooke Walker ugh sorry wrong person but like, have you checked the bristles on that wire brush you're using? I've seen too many horror stories where a tiny bristle gets stuck in the pan and then someone eats it. A buddy of mine spent a weekend in the ER because one got lodged in his throat from a supposedly clean pan. Plus stripping down to bare metal every time seems like overkill if you're just dealing with some stuck on gunk, you know? The salt method is a pain but at least you're not gambling with your health for a quicker clean. So what kind of brush are you using that you trust that much?

inTIL I was painting walls in the wrong direction for 3 years
Read somewhere that W patterns are actually better for textured walls...
