Swapped from a 1/4 inch to a 3/8 inch drive ratchet in my go bag and cut a 20 minute job to 6
Last month I was doing a nav light connector repair in a tight spot and kept slipping with my old 1/4 inch ratchet, so I finally moved a 3/8 inch flex head into my main bag. The first job after the change was a pitot heat wire check on a King Air, and the longer handle gave me enough reach to avoid pulling the panel. I timed both jobs out of curiosity: 20 minutes before, 6 after. It's not magic, the 3/8 just fits my hand better and I'm not fighting for leverage. Anyone else keep a specific drive size in their go bag for panel work, or is it just whatever's closest?
