But what if you're just adding more moisture for stuff to grow in? I've seen regs get all gross inside from being rinsed but not dried right. Maybe the salt water dries faster and leaves less gunk than fresh water sitting in the hoses. My buddy's gear got that mildew smell from hosing it down and packing it away damp.

But what if it is that serious? Like, if you leave the broken step for next time, someone's grandma takes a tumble. Some stuff actually needs fixing now, not later.

Exactly! I had to get real with myself and stop buying books just because they were cheap. Now if I grab something from the sale rack, I make myself read it within the month or it goes right back out. It really cut down on the clutter.
