inJust finished a table that sat in a garage for a decade
That homemade mix you used sounds like the old "Danish oil" recipe people talk about. I read a forum post once where a guy brought back a barn door with the same three part blend. He said the turpentine really lets it soak into thirsty wood. Seeing that grain pop must be so satisfying after finding it in that state.

inI used to think you could just slap drywall mud on any old wall until a job in a 1920s house in St. Louis.
Found that out the hard way too. Those old plaster walls are a whole different animal. You get cracks that move with the seasons and crumbly spots that just eat the mud. Makes you respect the old ways of building.

inMy new $80 paint sprayer turned a two day job into a three hour one
That's awesome it saved you so much time. Just a heads up, those cheap sprayers can be a pain to clean properly. Hope you got all the paint out before it dried.

inSpent 3 weeks trying to get the collar right on a simple linen shirt design... what went wrong?
Maybe linen just sucks for collars.

inRemember when we all had to mix our own toner formulas from scratch?
What can I say, I'm a hoarder for old color samples. They're stored in a hot attic too, so honestly the fact they haven't just melted into one big beige lump is the real shock. My organizational system peaked around the Bush administration and never recovered.
