Nah, I get where they're coming from, honestly. You don't realize how much that background haze drowns everything out until you see the real thing. It's like listening to your favorite song on a blown out speaker your whole life, then someone hands you headphones. Suddenly you hear all the details you didn't even know were missing. It's not that suburb stargazing is worthless, it's just that you can't unsee what a sky without all that orange glow really looks like.

My buddy Mike swapped ALL his old bulbs to LEDs last fall and said his bill dropped like $18 the first month. He has this big living room with those track lights that had like 8 bulbs in it, and he said he stopped noticing the difference on the meter after the first week honestly. But he did say the craziest part was the hallway and closet lights he never thought about - those little things run all the time and apparently they make a dent. I keep telling him to check his porch light too since that one is on every night.
