Back in 2015 I bought a ton of those Velcro cable ties for my whole media stand. I was sure a clean look was the only right way to do it. Then I saw my friend's place where his SNES and Genesis just had wires going everywhere in a heap behind the shelf, and it just felt more real and lived in. Tbh that completely flipped my view on it, the messy wires are part of the whole retro feel.
