inSwapped my old Fluke 77 for a Brymen 869 and the difference is night and day on bus troubleshooting
The Brymen's basically the difference between fishing with a stick and fishing with an actual rod, though I'm the fish that still gets caught by the Fluke 77 half the time.

inThat time I tried to use a biscuit joiner with zero sleep
People really overhype these little mishaps. A busted coffee mug is annoying but it's not like you lost a finger or something. There's way more dangerous stuff in a shop than a biscuit flying around. I've run saws half asleep and never had an issue. Maybe you just need to learn your tools better so you don't have to rely on Post-It notes.

inTime I spent a summer fighting a suction leak that wasn't even there
Funny you mention Ray. I bet that guy has seen every kind of ghost problem out there. Sometimes it's the simple stuff we overthink that gets us.

inThat hot towel trick I was skeptical about finally won me over
Hot towel's more for the beard prep than the hair though.

inMy wet notes went from soaked to dry after switching to Rite in the Rain paper
Same thing happened to me on the shrimp boats out of Biloxi. Regular paper would just turn to mush after one wave hit. Rite in the Rain is a lifesaver, no question about it. For the pens, I tried their waterproof pen but honestly a regular #2 pencil works just as good and never runs out of ink. Plus you can still write on it when your hands are wet from pulling traps. That paper holds up way better than anything else I've tried. Why mess with something that works?
