Serious question, how long should a simple tile backsplash take?

I just spent 3 whole days on what I thought was a weekend job because every cut around the outlet boxes was wrong. Anyone else have a backsplash fight them this hard?

Read a blog where a pro said even a simple one can take two full days. Outlets are the worst part, maybe it's just me but they never line up right.
