Hit $5k in savings from flipping furniture and now I'm torn between reinvesting or finally patching my own drywall holes

Ngl, I never thought I'd actually save that much doing this stuff on weekends, but is it smarter to buy a nicer table saw or just fix the giant crack in my living room ceiling that's been there for 3 years?

Oh man, I feel this so hard. That's a real dilemma right there. I'd say fix the ceiling first though. You gotta live in that space every day, right? A new table saw won't make that crack go away. Plus your place will feel so much better once it's done.

Hey, have you thought about just patching it up temporarily till you can get to it proper? I've been there before, that whole "I'll fix it next paycheck" thing that never happens. I used some quick set drywall compound on a crack in my garage ceiling and it held up for like two years no problem. The saw can wait, but your partner or landlord probably won't. Just grab a small tub of compound and a putty knife, it's like ten bucks and peace of mind.

Had a buddy who ignored his ceiling crack and it ended up leaking on his new table saw.
