Yeah, that whole area is just soft rock. I've seen pictures from the 90s and some formations are totally gone now. Makes you wonder what it'll look like in another ten years.

Oh man, I have to disagree there. A bad lawn cut is way better than letting it get too long. When you cut down tall grass, it shocks the plant and turns the tips brown. A slightly uneven short cut stays green and just looks a little messy for a few days. The real mistake is waiting until it's a jungle and then taking off too much at once.

Remember my buddy trying to fix his old Land Rover last year. He spent weeks calling every salvage yard in three states looking for a specific rear quarter panel. He finally found one, but the shipping cost more than the part itself. It really showed me how the hunt for the right old part has become its own kind of lost art.
