inMy rear rack bolt snapped mid-commute in Austin traffic
Bet that pothole on Lamar had nothing to do with it and the bolt was just old and stretched from day one. Losing a rack bag is annoying but it beats blowing out a fork or a wheel, and most of those rack bolts never see a torque wrench anyway. Maybe the real fix is checking your hardware every few months instead of waiting for it to fail in traffic.

inTwo weeks to fix a water heater, should've just called day one
And that $180 probably felt like a bargain compared to the three days you lost messing with it, lol. Honestly, every DIY fail I've had on a rental just makes me appreciate the "call first" rule even more.

inQuote differences got crazy after the oil price jump in Dallas
Blame it on the gas pump and then watch the algorithm add another ten bucks just for fun. Last month I got three quotes for the same haul and the cheapest one was from a guy who sounded like he was quoting in a different currency. At this rate I'm half expecting the price to change between the time I hang up and the time I get in the truck.
