Warning: spent 3 hours fixing a crown molding that was never going to fit because my miter saw was 1 degree off
I kept blaming the trim and the corner and even the lumber, but when I finally checked the saw with a digital angle finder after 3 hours of fighting an 8 foot piece of poplar in my garage in Boise last Saturday, the detent was off by 1 degree and I'd been cutting every miter wrong since I brought the thing home 2 years ago, so has anyone else had a saw go out of square on them without dropping it?
