inJust spent $400 on a gutter guard system for my house in Decatur and I'm already seeing a difference.
Remembered my neighbor's fancy new gutters last spring. They looked great until that huge storm in May, then water just poured over the sides like a waterfall. Turns out a few hangers in the back had pulled loose right away.

inAppreciation post: my old voltage tester finally gave up on me yesterday
Man that sucks, it's the worst when a trusty tool just quits. What did you end up getting as a replacement? I had my favorite cordless drill smoke itself right in the middle of a big closet install. I was so annoyed I just bought the same model again, couldn't even think about learning a new one. Sometimes you just gotta stick with what you know works.

inGuys at my local union are all making custom fire pits now
Yeah, it totally can. You see it a lot with teams that have to solve tough problems together. That shared stress turns into inside jokes and then people start a group text about random stuff. Next thing you know, a few folks are grabbing beers on a Friday or watching the game together. The work bond becomes a real one without anyone forcing it, lol.

inJust realized keeping granola bars in the glove box saves me from hunger delays.
@olivia_mitchell45, glad it works until summer melts everything.

inAppreciation post for my switch from bulk buying to weekly shops
I used to make big Costco runs every two weeks thinking it was smarter. My fridge would end up with half a bag of slimy spinach and cheese that went moldy before we finished it. Switching to weekly trips to my neighborhood Safeway completely changed that. Now I only buy what fits in one reusable bag, and I probably throw out 75% less food. The weirdest part is I spend less overall because I'm not tempted by bulk deals on things we don't really need.
