Update: Tried a new way to handle a hot pour on a driveway in Phoenix last week

Ever try that and just end up making a slip-n-slide for yourself? My finish looked like a topographical map.

Showerthought: my site's traffic doubled in 3 months after I finally fixed my page titles.

That "generic stuff like 'Home Page'" line hit me hard... I spent years calling my contact page just "Contact". My biggest win was finally adding alt text to all my images. I was so lazy about it for ages, just leaving the default file names. Once I started describing what was actually in the photos, it felt like a tiny change, but traffic from image search went nuts. I guess Google can't see pictures, so you have to tell it what's there.

Pro tip: I was holding my clippers wrong for years

My buddy who cuts hair in Dallas had the same exact problem with his fades looking choppy. He was holding his clippers so tight his knuckles turned white, like he was trying to strangle the thing. Someone finally told him to relax his grip and let the tool do the work. He said it felt totally wrong at first but now his lines are so much cleaner.

My French press carafe shattered during my morning brew last Tuesday

Yeah, that temperature shock is a real killer. I had the same thing happen with a cheap glass press, just like @oliver_torres4 said. Switched to a double wall stainless one years ago and it's a total game changer. Not just for not breaking, but you're right, the coffee really does stay hot way longer. It's the only way to go if you don't want to rush your cup.

Shoutout to the weirdest inventory fix I ever tried

That's a solid point about breaking the routine. Does the material itself matter, like the feel of plastic versus paper? Might make the brain notice it even more.
