inSerious question, ever started color-coding your wrench sets?
Always thought it was dumb but it actually works.

inAlmost missed a critical wire chafe point in a recent overhaul
Heard about a buddy who found something similar on his Cherokee after an annual. He was doing a final walk around and noticed a tiny bit of copper showing where a bundle passed through the firewall. It had rubbed clean through the insulation over time. Said it made his blood run cold thinking about what might have happened. Really drives home the point that you have to get in there and actually look with your hands and a light.

inAm I the only one who followed a 'shortcut' that added two hours to my hike?
Honestly, that thick brush part sounds awful. Tbh, I've followed those fake shortcut markers before and it always backfires. At least you got a funny story from it.

inMy board game clutter is gone thanks to some clear bins and labels
Totally get the "game nights start faster" thing. I had the same mess with boxes falling apart and pieces in random bags. I finally did the clear bin thing last month and it was a game changer, no pun intended. Now I can see my copy of Terraforming Mars right away instead of digging through a pile. Just grabbing the labeled bin and going is so much easier.

inFixing a drip at home changed how I handle business upkeep
Seriously, you let that drip go for WEEKS? That's just BONKERS to me. In my painting business, a loose screw on a ladder is the same kind of ticking time bomb. We have a strict five minute gear check every Friday before we clock out. Lets us spot problems before they turn into a costly disaster or, worse, someone gets hurt. It's all about making it a routine, no excuses.
