Just realized why I hate pruning mature oaks in August

I spent last Tuesday picking between a bucket truck and rope access for a 60 foot white oak in Portland, went with ropes to save the lawn, and now I'm wondering if anyone else finds the extra climb time worth avoiding three hours of patch repair.

I stared at the instant ramen packs ($1.25 for 6) and the spaghetti boxes ($1.25 for 2) and grabbed the ramen thinking it'd stretch further. Big mistake, the seasoning packet tasted like salty cardboard and I ended up dumping hot sauce on it just to finish two bowls. Has anyone else found a decent use for those cheap ramen packs, or should I just stick to pasta with the dollar store canned sauce next time?

Was at the flea market off Route 9 last Saturday and this older fella picks up this beat up old hand crank meat grinder, rust everywhere, and tells his buddy 'they don't make 'em like they used to.' I get the nostalgia, I really do, but that thing was missing the clamp and had a cracked gear housing. I paid $15 for a 1950s KitchenAid attachment that works fine, and it sat in a barn for 20 years. People see patina and old metal and think it's gold. Has anyone else bought something 'vintage' that turned out to be just garbage with a story?
