I get what you mean about simple ideas clicking, but for me the fancy stuff has its place too. Sometimes a complex tool or detailed explanation gives you the full picture that a simple example can't. Like learning music theory before just playing chords by ear.

Actually, I was totally on team bottled glue for years because it's so easy. But trying hide glue for a real repair changed my mind completely. Having that longer open time to adjust things is a total game changer for getting it right.

Ever notice how we're all turning into amateur repair techs? With dryers... it's usually just a belt or sensor that goes bad. Seems like everything's made to be thrown out now, so learning to fix it feels like a small win. I've replaced two heating elements myself... way easier than I thought.
