I spent $15 on a Python course that finally made functions click for me.

It was a cheap video set from a guy named Al who explained it with real world examples, like a coffee machine, and now I can actually write my own code instead of just copying.

Honestly that's how the best learning happens for me too. It's never the fancy expensive stuff, just a simple idea that finally makes sense. Tbh most things in life are like that once you find the right example.

I get what you mean about simple ideas clicking, but for me the fancy stuff has its place too. Sometimes a complex tool or detailed explanation gives you the full picture that a simple example can't. Like learning music theory before just playing chords by ear.
