inSpent $60 on a soil sample test for a dig site in Georgia and it saved me from digging in the wrong spot for weeks
$60 is a lot if you can just look at what's already growing in the ground for free.

inTried using my angle grinder for forge welding instead of the press
Yeah so I decided one time that since I couldn't find my hammer I'd just use a brick to tap a billet together. Let's just say the brick did NOT hold up as well as your flap disk did, it basically exploded on the first hit and I had dust and bits in my hair for three days straight. But honestly, sometimes the dumb ideas work out better than the smart ones, right? I bet your angle grinder trick is one of those things where you feel like a genius and a hack at the same time.

inCan we talk about password managers vs. writing passwords down?
Flip it around and ask yourself how many people actually lock up their password notebook the right way. Most folks keep it in a desk drawer or next to their computer where anyone can grab it during a break in. A password manager with a strong master password and two factor auth is way harder to crack than a physical list sitting in someones home office.
