inThe dollar bin trick that actually saved my pull list
@val_wilson saw the same thing with coffee subscriptions, way cheaper to just grab what you actually want.

inSwitched from nail guns back to hand driving after a dumb mistake
Funny how that works, isn't it? We all get in such a rush to finish things fast that we forget the basics. I've noticed the same pattern everywhere - people speed through stuff to save time, then end up spending twice as long fixing the mess they made.

inBought a cheap seam iron on Amazon, ruined 3 rolls of carpet
Three rolls of carpet seems like a lot to burn through before you checked the heat setting or tested it on a scrap piece first. I've seen guys mess up a corner or a small strip with a bad iron but never three whole rolls before they caught on. Sounds more like you didn't dial in the temp right or you left it sitting in one spot too long. Even a cheap iron should be able to do a straight seam without destroying the backing if you take it slow.

inOld timer told me to stop being cheap with brake fluid flushes, I finally listened
Tackled mine with a turkey baster and fresh fluid, took maybe 20 minutes and zero regrets!
