inWarning: a guy at the plant swap in Eugene gave me a tip that saved my ferns
That chlorine trick works for my peace lilies too. I just keep a gallon jug by the sink and fill it after I water.

inWarning: I saw a local pizza shop's menu go from a blurry Word doc to something that actually looks good in about 3 months. The difference was just hiring a design student.
My buddy's food truck got a logo from a design grad for like $200. Sales doubled in a month. People actually stopped to look at the menu.

inPSA: A tiny drop of clear nail polish stopped my ribbon from fraying during a rush order
Oh man, that's a solid tip! It reminds me of the time I was helping my niece with her science fair volcano. We used cheap felt for the lava flow and the edges were a mess. Ended up sealing them with a glue stick melted with a hair dryer (don't ask) and it sort of worked, but it was a whole thing. Your polish idea seems way smarter and less likely to get glue in your hair.
