Vent: Silk flower displays at the new mall cafe
Walked by the cafe in the mall. Their centerpieces are all fake flowers. Looks plastic and sad. Real blooms bring energy to a space. This cheap choice sends the wrong message. Our skill is with living plants. Places like that should support local florists.

You know, it's not just about supporting florists, it's a missed chance to connect with the seasons. That cafe could have a real talking point with fresh local blooms that change every few weeks, pumpkins and mums in fall, tulips in spring. Instead, it's just the same fake red roses all year, even in July. That static look tells me they don't care about the details or creating a real sense of place.

No way, they have fake red roses in July? Like @rowan_bell said, that just kills any chance for a nice seasonal touch. It really does make the whole place feel cheap and boring.
