Serious question, my inspector said 'that's not a crack, that's a foundation settlement pattern' on a house in Cincinnati and now I'm looking at basements totally differently.

He showed me the difference between a simple poured wall crack and a stair-step pattern in the block, which he said meant a bigger issue, so now I'm way more focused on the basement walls than the kitchen cabinets during showings.

Honestly, the fix is just using a higher sample rate.
