Man that's a real kick in the teeth. Honestly, I've been there with cheap tools breaking right when you need them most. It's the worst feeling, wasting both your time and your cash in one shot. Makes you want to just throw the pieces in the trash. Tbh, you have my full sympathy, that's a rough way to spend a Saturday.
