TIL my old shop vac can double as a leaf blower in a pinch

Last fall in my Seattle yard, I just popped the hose onto the exhaust port and it cleared the patio in about 10 minutes. Anyone found a better way to repurpose a tool for a totally different job?

Wait is this actually a big deal? People have been doing this for years with shop vacs. It's not some genius hack, it's just using the air that's already coming out. My neighbor tried it and said it barely moved wet leaves, just scattered dry ones around. Seems like a lot of effort to avoid buying a $40 leaf blower.
