Foam panels are a game changer for real. Tried them last year after my downstairs neighbor started banging on their ceiling, totally fixed the problem.

Cardioid mics can pick up your voice way clearer for calls, but they also project it further through walls. Your neighbor might be hearing you perfectly from their place without you realizing how loud it is. A simple foam panel behind your monitor can soak up a lot of that sound before it leaves the room.
