I finally switched from steel mesh to kevlar gloves for tank cleaning
Last month I got a nasty cut through my old mesh gloves on a job in the Gulf and that was it for me - the kevlar ones are way lighter and I haven't had a single nick since. Has anyone else made that swap and noticed a difference in grip or dexterity?

Hang on, you got a cut through steel mesh gloves while cleaning tanks in the Gulf? That sounds wild, man. I always figured those things were pretty bulletproof for that kind of work. How bad was the cut? I've heard kevlar is way better for dexterity once you break 'em in, but I'm kinda surprised you switched so fast after just one bad nick.

Honestly, same thing happened to me, trust @avery_stone95 on this one.

Ngl the dexterity difference is actually huge. Those steel mesh gloves feel like wearing chainmail compared to kevlar ones. They break in fast and you get way more feel for what you're doing. Honest truth is I made the switch years ago and never looked back once. The grip is better too since kevlar doesn't slip as much when it gets wet or oily.
