Went to the coast near Monterey and saw a bunch of kelp washed up

I mean, it was a huge pile, like a whole brown carpet on the sand. A park ranger said it's normal, but the amount this year was way bigger because of warmer water. Idk, maybe it's just me but seeing it up close made the whole ocean change thing feel real. Has anyone else noticed stuff like that where they live?

Yeah, the "whole ocean change thing feeling real" part hits. We get way more dead jellyfish on the shore here now than we used to. It's not just a weird season anymore, it's every summer.

That's a solid point from @the_sean. The jellyfish thing is a clear sign something's off. Makes the whole warming trend feel way too close to home.
