I compared app blockers on my phone and the free one won out
I tried both Freedom and the built-in screen time settings on my iPhone for a month each. Freedom costs like $40 a year and has all these extra features, but honestly the free Apple one worked better for me. I set it to block Reddit and Instagram from 8am to 5pm, and after 3 weeks I stopped reaching for my phone without even thinking. Has anyone else found that paying for a blocker doesn't give you better results?

My buddy Sam tried using an expensive app blocker called FocusGuard or something for like $50 a year. He swore by it for a week then just started ignoring the blocks completely lol. Meanwhile his girlfriend just uses her phone's free settings and she's been off social media for two months straight. Sam eventually caved and copied her setup now he's actually sticking with it. It's funny how the free option worked better for both of them when they actually committed to it.
