My experiment with apple wood on chicken changed my mind.

I've been trying different woods for smoking chicken in my backyard. Using apple wood last time gave a much sweeter flavor than I thought. Do other pitmasters prefer fruit woods for poultry?

For years I only used hickory on my chicken. That last batch with apple wood completely changed my game. What's your favorite fruit wood to try next?

Apple wood is a GAME changer for sure. Have you tested CHERRY wood on thighs versus breasts?

Cherry wood's a bit stronger for thighs, @the_emery, but it's still nice.
