Old timer told me to stop being cheap with brake fluid flushes, I finally listened

For about 4 years I just topped off brake fluid instead of doing full flushes. Old guy at the parts counter in Phoenix kept telling me I was gonna wreck my ABS module. I figured he was just trying to upsell me. Last month the ABS pump started acting up on my 2018 Silverado and now I'm looking at $1200 to fix it. Anyone else learned this lesson the hard way?

Ngl I've been putting off the brake fluid on my truck for like two years now. Heard some guy say that moisture buildup in the lines can actually cause the calipers to seize up over time. Might have to just bite the bullet and do it.

Tackled mine with a turkey baster and fresh fluid, took maybe 20 minutes and zero regrets!
