I used to think a rain barrel was just a yard decoration

My neighbor in Decatur convinced me to try one last spring, and it caught over 200 gallons from just my garage roof. I used it all summer to water my vegetable garden and my water bill dropped by about $30 a month. Now I'm looking at getting a second one. Has anyone else had luck linking multiple barrels together?

Saw a video where someone linked three barrels with simple overflow connectors. Worked great for their whole garden.

Yeah, that overflow connector method is solid. I ran three food grade barrels off my garage roof like that for years. The key is getting the hose height right on each overflow so they drain in order. If the first barrel clogs, the whole system backs up. Used it on my veggie beds and only needed the hose a few times in a really dry summer.
