Shoutout to the air fryer for saving my week when my oven broke
My oven's heating element gave out on a Tuesday, right when I had planned to cook a big meal for my parents visiting from out of town. I was stressed, thinking I'd have to order takeout for three days straight. I decided to just try everything in the air fryer instead. I made chicken thighs, roasted broccoli, and even a small batch of cookies, all in that little basket. It took some juggling with the timing, but everything came out great, especially the chicken skin which got super crispy. My mom actually said, 'I might use my oven less now.' Has anyone else had to rely on their air fryer as a main cooker for a few days? What meals worked best for you?

That chicken skin getting super crispy is the whole point. I did a whole pork tenderloin in mine once when my stove was acting up, just cut it in half to fit. The outside gets this amazing crust while the inside stays juicy. It's basically a tiny, angry oven that works too well.

Did you have to adjust the time or temperature for the pork tenderloin compared to chicken? I've found with denser cuts, dropping the temp by 25 degrees and adding a few minutes helps that crust form without overcooking the center.
