Pro tip: I hit 50 posts in our neighborhood watch group and realized I was giving terrible advice

I kept telling people to call the non-emergency line for every little thing, but a cop friend in Phoenix finally told me that just clogs the system for actual issues. Has anyone else had to totally rethink their go-to community advice?

That call from a guy in a high rise downtown who said his dishwasher was 'haunted'

He kept saying it turned on by itself at 3 AM and played a weird chime. I drove over, checked the control board, and found a short from a leak that had dripped onto the timer motor. Has anyone else had a customer blame ghosts for a simple water damage fix?

Spent a whole morning trying to get a single brick level

It was a weird corner on a porch rebuild in Springfield, and the foundation had settled just enough to make it a nightmare. I must have picked that brick up and put it down a dozen times before I got it right. Anyone else ever get stuck on something that should have been simple?
