inWhen my spotter's radio quit mid-lift, we went old school and it was comedy gold
Yeah, those old school signals were lifesavers (the wind was howling like crazy). We had a similar close call with rivets failing on a gantry once.

inPro tip: Giving green tech more time to grow saves trouble later
My first electric car battery lost half its range in under three years, which was a huge letdown. I used to be all about pushing tech out quickly, thinking progress couldn't wait. But reading @joseph662's point about the waste from broken tech honestly shifted my view. Letting engineers fix these issues properly means we won't have to replace stuff so often (and create less garbage). That approach saves money and materials over time, which is way smarter. So now I'm totally on board with taking the time to do it right from the start.

inRestoring an old bank's glass front was a community highlight
That glass is actually tempered safety glass. I installed some last year and you'd have to try pretty hard to break it on purpose.
