Vent: My friend Dave said AI art was just 'fancy filters' at a party last week

We were at his place in Denver and I was showing him some images from a new model that can make consistent characters. He just shrugged and said it was no different than adding an Instagram filter to a photo. It really got to me because he didn't get the work behind training it on specific styles. Has anyone else had to explain why this stuff isn't just a simple trick?

Was cleaning out a 1990s Kenmore dryer and found the service manual. The lint trap warning label says it causes 15,000 fires a year. That number blew my mind.
